Two vessels were involved in an allision incident resulting in structural damage to steel plating and appendages. We were appointed by the P&I Club of one of the vessels to attend the repairs carried out on the other vessel and establish the extent of the damage and the costs associated with the incident.
We attended the vessel at the repair yard and surveyed the damage in liaison with her owners’ representative, her P&I Club surveyor, her Classification surveyor and the yard personnel.
The repairs were followed up and on completion, all renewed steelwork was measured and documented. A comprehensive report with supporting documentation was issued and submitted to our principals.
