A tanker vessel encountered a significant incident when her main engine sustained damage, resulting in the vessel’s grounding.
The vessel was removed to a shipyard where both the engine and hull underwent permanent repairs to restore the vessel to full operational status.
Upon completion of the repairs we were appointed by the vessel’s Hull & Machinery Underwriters, through our partners in Turkey. Our assignment was to conduct a thorough review of the entire incident, including an in-depth investigatory analysis of the events leading up to the casualty, the root causes, and the associated costs. The goal was to ensure all aspects of the case were meticulously examined to support an accurate and fair evaluation.
Our findings served as a basis for determining the extent of the insurers’ liability, providing both transparency and clarity for all parties involved.
