The Vessel suffered a damage in way of her main engine and turbocharger and deviated under tow to a port of refuse for investigation and repairs.
We received instructions from the Vessel’s H&M Underwriters to investigate the nature, extent and costs associated with the casualty at hand.
Overhauls were carried out to the appropriate main engine cylinder units, fuel valves and turbocharger and engine timing and fueling were checked. On completion of permanent repairs and tests, the Vessel sailed to destination.
On completion of our investigation and reporting to principals, an assortment of claim invoices were submitted, which were reviewed, analyzed and commented upon on the basis of their technical merits.
